Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and light equipment (concrete mixers, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project-specific tasks
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain organized work areas
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Transport materials and equipment across job sites safely
- Complete daily task reports and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic tool handling experience preferred but not required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for weekend shifts
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Willingness to work flexible hours (6 AM - 4 PM weekends)
- Previous construction experience a plus but not mandatory
