Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery safely
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, concrete work, and installation tasks
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and interpret construction plans accurately
- Transport materials and equipment using forklifts or other vehicles as needed
- Complete daily progress reports and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience or equivalent physical labor background
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous tasks in varying weather
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Los Angeles County
