Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up safety barriers
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated areas
- Follow blueprints and instructions from site managers to ensure precise execution
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople on complex tasks
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory tracking
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
