Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, cutting, and installation tasks
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA safety standards
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Prepare surfaces for construction (demolition, excavation, debris removal)
- Assist in setting up/breaking down temporary structures and scaffolding
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Flexibility to work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
