Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including digging, lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, demolition, and cleanup activities
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Operate light machinery like concrete mixers and jackhammers under supervision
- Assist in material handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily project milestones
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or related field experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong work ethic with punctual, reliable attendance
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Must possess own basic hand tools (tape measure, hammer, etc.)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
