Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project tasks
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, safety protocols, and project specifications
- Operate light machinery (concrete mixers, saws, jackhammers) with proper training
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, carts, or light equipment
- Participate in daily site briefings and progress meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience or relevant trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
