Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and foundation work under supervisor guidance
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (with certification)
- Assist in material handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including carpenters, electricians, and project managers
- Complete daily documentation of progress, materials used, and safety observations
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and proper waste disposal procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction/labor experience or relevant trade certification
- Valid OSHA 30-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurement interpretation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites within 50-mile radius of Boston
