Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and organizing materials
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and framing
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) and maintain equipment
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Load/unhaul construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, temporary structures, and site security measures
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years old with valid photo ID and work authorization
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (provided by employer)
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory tracking
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Columbus metro area
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and punctuality
- Clean background check and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
