Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with specialized construction activities
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery under OSHA safety protocols
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and proper waste disposal procedures
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Perform quality assurance checks on completed work
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and personal protective equipment requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Dallas County
- Flexible availability for early morning starts and occasional weekend work
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
