Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and marking hazards
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and task execution
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Load/unload materials and transport equipment to job sites safely
- Perform general cleanup and site restoration upon project completion
- Complete daily progress reports and time tracking accurately
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or instructions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality (6 AM start times common)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Flexible availability for weekend/evening shifts as needed
