Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate and maintain hand/power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material staging and task support
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and project specifications
- Participate in project site setup, cleanup, and waste management procedures
- Document daily progress and report equipment/material needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent trade training
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Valid OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, and methods
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and variable weather conditions
- Drug-free workplace compliance required
