Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery safely under supervision
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Assist skilled tradespersons with layout, framing, and finishing work
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications precisely
- Complete daily progress reports and inventory checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Chicagoland
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality record
