Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools, including forklifts, skid steers, and boom lifts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various on-site tasks.
- Prepare and clean job sites, ensuring all safety protocols and OSHA regulations are followed.
- Transport materials, tools, and supplies to and from work areas.
- Perform basic demolition, excavation, and site preparation duties.
- Report daily progress to site supervisors and document material usage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred for some roles).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but training is provided.
