Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Follow construction blueprints and supervisor instructions precisely
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce OSHA safety standards
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople as needed
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to read basic construction documents
- Must be authorized to work in the US
