Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Load/unload construction supplies and equipment using forklifts and hand tools
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with material handling and task completion
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read blueprints and interpret construction plans for accurate material placement
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Complete daily progress reports and timekeeping documentation
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours daily
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory tracking
- Commitment to safety and willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for no-shows
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and adapt to changing priorities
