Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing, digging, and preparing construction sites for new structures.
- Material Handling: Transport, unload, and stack construction materials (bricks, lumber, pipes) using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Machinery Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as concrete mixers, drills, and saws under supervision.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including digging trenches, pouring concrete, and cleaning work areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with foremen and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general handyman work is preferred but not required for enthusiastic learners.
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
