Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, dirt, and obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Assisting Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with basic tasks and measurements.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery (such as forklifts, skid steers, and jackhammers) under supervision.
- Quality Control: Ensure work areas are clean and organized to meet safety standards and project specifications.
- Documentation: Assist in tracking inventory and daily work progress.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and site protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level laborers.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Experience: Prior construction or labor experience is a plus but we are willing to train the right person.
