Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Read blueprints and construction plans for accurate task execution
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Report site hazards to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent training
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
