Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with daily construction tasks including site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely under supervision (shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.)
- Load/unload construction materials and transport supplies to designated areas
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Support various construction phases including framing, demolition, and finishing
- Complete daily task reports and communicate progress to site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Valid state ID or driver's license
- Reliable transportation to job sites within the Indianapolis metro area
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to follow directions
