Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and hauling materials to and from job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily operations and setup.
- Operate light construction equipment and tools, including forklifts and skid steers, following all safety protocols.
- Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and project plans.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently at the start and end of each shift.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid North Carolina driverβs license and a clean driving record.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but not required for the right attitude.
