Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) and light machinery safely
- Assist carpenters/masons with material handling and installation
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow OSHA safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions precisely
- Complete daily timecards and safety checklists
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with valid photo ID
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand 8+ hours daily
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Houston metro area
- Pass mandatory drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
