Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on complex electrical faults
- Ensure all work adheres to National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain detailed work documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades professionals
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, circuit installation, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with DC permitting processes and inspection requirements
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and time-management skills
