Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the long-term technology strategy for Nexus Horizon, specifically targeting innovations relevant to the 2026 market landscape.
- R&D Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists in researching, prototyping, and validating emerging technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and executive leadership to align technical roadmaps with business goals and customer needs.
- Pipeline Development: Identify and evaluate new technologies, vendors, and partnerships that can accelerate our time-to-market for 2026 solutions.
- Team Mentorship: Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the engineering department.
- Performance Optimization: Oversee the architecture and scalability of our systems, ensuring they are robust enough to handle enterprise-scale demands.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strategic Vision: Proven track record of identifying emerging tech trends and successfully integrating them into business strategies.
- Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and inspire diverse technical teams.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our San Francisco office or be fully remote within the US.
