Responsibilities
- Strategic Visioning: Define and articulate the comprehensive 2026 technology roadmap, identifying key trends in AI, automation, and digital infrastructure that will drive business growth.
- Horizon Scanning: Conduct rigorous macro-environmental analysis to anticipate regulatory changes, market shifts, and disruptive technologies up to 2026.
- Stakeholder Management: Translate complex future scenarios into clear, compelling narratives for C-suite executives, board members, and investors.
- R&D Integration: Oversee the integration of pilot programs and emerging tech solutions into existing business units to test viability for future deployment.
- Resource Allocation: Lead the strategic budgeting process for long-term tech initiatives, ensuring optimal investment in high-impact areas.
- Innovation Culture: Foster a culture of experimentation and agility within the technology department to adapt quickly to unforeseen developments.
- Partnership Development: Identify and vet partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups focused on 2026-ready solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, technology operations, or executive consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.
- Strategic Acumen: Proven track record of developing long-term strategies that have resulted in measurable business outcomes and market expansion.
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing) and their potential business applications by 2026.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions in uncertain environments.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Austin, Texas area.
