Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks; organize job sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, bending conduit, and connecting circuits under direct supervision.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any hazards or material shortages to the foreman immediately.
- Study technical manuals and participate in classroom training sessions to prepare for state licensing exams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driverβs License (clean driving record) is a plus but not mandatory for the apprentice role.
- Basic math skills are required for reading measurements and calculating material quantities.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and obtain Journeyman licensure within 4 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as project demands require.
