Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, bending conduit, and terminating connections.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment to identify potential hazards or faults.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
- Willingness to obtain required state licensure upon completion of apprenticeship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- A strong desire to learn the trade and a positive attitude toward safety and teamwork.
