Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all electrical components are functioning correctly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as multimeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, removing debris and securing materials after use.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Basic understanding of math is helpful for reading measurements and calculating loads.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments (climbing ladders, crawling in attics, etc.).
- Strong willingness to learn the trade and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
