Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on residential and commercial projects.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Tool Usage: Operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and testers, under close supervision.
- Basic Installation: Perform fundamental electrical tasks such as stripping wire, mounting outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials and supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Attitude: A strong desire to learn technical skills and a commitment to punctuality.
- Skills: Basic math skills and keen attention to detail are a plus.
