Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and circuit breakers.
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure strict compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of work completed, materials used, and time spent on assigned tasks.
- Ensure all job sites are clean, organized, and free of safety hazards before leaving the premises.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; however, a strong desire to learn the trade and a mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must possess the physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of mathematics is helpful for calculating electrical loads and measurements.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
