Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Shadow and support journeyman electricians on various job sites, learning proper installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Tools and Equipment: Learn to identify, use, and maintain a wide range of electrical tools and equipment safely.
- Material Handling: Assist in the delivery, storage, and organization of electrical materials and supplies.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by clearing areas, setting up ladders, and ensuring a clean workspace.
- Inspection Support: Aid in basic inspections and testing of electrical systems under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus but not required.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for measurements and calculations.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and communicate effectively with the team.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work a full-time schedule.
