Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installation and repair procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NFPA 70E).
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Use hand and power tools safely, including drills, saws, and multimeters.
- Collaborate with project managers and foremen to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to obtain required journeyman or apprentice licenses (on-the-job training provided).
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements and material needs.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety protocols.
