Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Support experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn Blueprint Reading: Gain hands-on experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings under supervision.
- Tool Management: Properly handle, maintain, and organize electrical tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites, including pulling wire, mounting fixtures, and ensuring all areas are clean and organized.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally to explain work status and answer basic questions about electrical systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: A basic education is required for all apprenticeship positions.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to master electrical trade skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic arithmetic for calculating measurements and wire lengths.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain high-quality work standards.
