Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, terminate conduit, and connect electrical components under supervision.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including the organization of tools and materials.
- Transport tools and equipment to job sites and perform minor equipment maintenance.
- Document daily work activities and report any safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills.
