Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and accounted for.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, connecting conductors, and mounting outlets and switches.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Transport materials and equipment to job sites and assist with inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not strictly required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of math and mechanical aptitude.
- A strong desire to learn the trade and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
