Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics under supervision.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, stripping insulation, and terminating connections.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding job progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; vocational training or completion of an electrician program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be willing to obtain an Ohio Electrical License upon completion of apprenticeship requirements.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
