Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Shadow and support experienced professionals on residential and commercial job sites to learn proper installation and repair techniques.
- Installation Work: Help with the installation of lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and basic wiring systems under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize electrical materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient job site operations.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin learning to interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep personal tools and job site equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answer basic questions, and maintain a positive reputation for the company.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; trade school certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience: No prior electrical experience required. A strong willingness to learn and a teachable attitude are essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required (for travel to job sites).
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of arithmetic and measurement is helpful.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when necessary.
