Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow and support senior staff with residential and commercial wiring installations, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Tool Management: Learn to properly handle, maintain, and use a variety of electrical hand tools and testing equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols on every job site.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by moving materials, organizing work areas, and ensuring a clean environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin learning to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with clients professionally to provide updates and answer basic questions about work in progress.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are looking for attitude and aptitude. A willingness to learn is the primary requirement.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory for travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills are essential for calculating measurements and material quantities.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
