Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping, cutting, and connecting wires to outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Test electrical systems to ensure they function correctly and comply with safety codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Learn to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and voltage testers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Strong desire to learn and willingness to obtain required certifications.
