Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, stripping conductors, and terminating connections.
- Install and maintain lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical devices.
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and schematics under supervision.
- Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience is required, but a strong interest in electrical work is essential.
- License: Must be willing to obtain a California Electrical Certification and Journeyman License upon completion of the apprenticeship.
- Driver’s License: Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic math skills (fractions/decimals) and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team.
