Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow experienced professionals to learn residential and commercial wiring techniques, conduit bending, and panel upgrades.
- Tool Management: Maintain, organize, and transport all electrical tools and materials to job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare work areas by digging trenches, mounting fixtures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Reading Blueprints: Begin training on interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and local building codes.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, answering basic questions and maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We value attitude over history. A willingness to learn is the only prerequisite.
- Driver’s License: Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license for local and regional travel.
- High School Diploma: General Education Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for measurements and calculations.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to follow instructions from supervisors.
