Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks on residential and commercial sites.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe in strict accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Tool Usage: Learn to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment under supervision.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin training on how to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Basic Wiring: Perform simple wiring tasks, fixture installations, and switch hookups.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work performed adheres to local and national electrical codes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Driver’s License: Valid, clean driver's license required for travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic proficiency in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication) for measurements and calculations.
- Attitude: Strong willingness to learn, adaptability, and a punctual work ethic.
- Reliability: Must be available for full-time shifts and reliable transportation.
