Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Perform hands-on tasks such as pulling wire, mounting outlets, and installing switches under supervision.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Learn to understand electrical schematics and diagrams to assist in installation projects.
- Conduit Bending and Fabrication: Learn the art of bending electrical conduits to fit specific job site requirements.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Help troubleshoot and repair existing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Tool Management: Keep work areas clean, organized, and assist in maintaining a fleet of electrical tools and equipment.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by moving materials and setting up temporary power sources.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Attitude: Willingness to learn and a strong desire to enter the electrical trade.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
