Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Install and terminate conduits, wiring, and electrical components according to local and national electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Test electrical systems and continuity to ensure proper operation using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Document all work completed and report any safety hazards or material shortages to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of math (addition, subtraction, fractions) and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
