Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by organizing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic tasks such as drilling holes, cutting conduit, stripping wire insulation, and pulling cable.
- Ensure strict adherence to local electrical codes and OSHA safety regulations.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as directed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure safety standards are met.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and measurement tools.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
