Job Overview:
As an Electrician Apprentice, you will work under the close supervision of licensed journeyman electricians. You will assist in various electrical projects, ranging from residential wiring to commercial installations. Your role is critical in ensuring our projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to code.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials and tools required for the job.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, making connections, and mounting outlets and switches.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites.
- Observe all safety regulations and report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No prior formal experience as an electrician is required; we are looking for raw talent and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
