Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, conduits, and wiring.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe in compliance with OSHA standards and local building codes.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize electrical materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings under supervision.
- Basic Installation: Perform basic tasks such as stripping wire, mounting outlets, and installing light fixtures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and report any safety hazards or material shortages to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. A strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Skills: Basic math skills, good manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Background: Clean criminal background check and drug screen required.
