Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Learn and adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Prepare work areas by gathering materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job.
- Perform basic wiring tasks under supervision, including stripping, bending, and terminating wire.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and assist with inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for reading blueprints and measuring materials.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders/scaffolding.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and a good work ethic.
