Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings under supervision.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, terminating connections, and mounting outlets and fixtures.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to strict OSHA safety regulations.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain work being performed and answer basic questions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not strictly required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- A strong desire to learn the electrical trade and a commitment to safety.
