Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine wiring layouts.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical systems into new construction projects.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Must possess own basic hand tools (specific tools provided by company).
