Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding job progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license (depending on level of experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional electrical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel to job sites in Boston, MA and surrounding Virginia areas.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
